What is an orthopedic massage?
An orthopedic massage focuses on treating musculoskeletal issues, injuries, and imbalances in the body. It combines advanced massage techniques with a clinical understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to address pain, dysfunction, and restricted movement in the soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia). It's often used in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, chiropractors, and orthopedic doctors.

What is a therapeutic massage?
A therapeutic massage is a customized treatment that blends various massage techniques to relieve muscle tension and enhance overall well-being. It is designed to address specific concerns, such as pain, stress, or mobility restrictions, while also promoting relaxation and recovery. A therapeutic massage is more focused and intentional, targeting problem areas to improve function and alleviate discomfort.

What should I wear to my 1st session?
You may undress to your comfort level, and you will be properly draped at all times, with only the area being worked on exposed. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring shorts, a sports bra, or athletic wear for the sessions.

Is sports or an orthopedic massage painful?
Massage should never be painful. While you may experience some discomfort as we address areas of tension, the goal is to relieve, not cause, pain. Communication is key—let me know if any pressure feels too intense so adjustments can be made for your comfort.

What forms of payment do you take?
All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) Debit, Venmo, FSA, HSA, Gift cards.

Do you accept/bill insurance?
While we do not accept or directly bill insurance, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. To generate a superbill, a doctor’s referral is required, including a diagnosis code and the number of sessions prescribed. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm whether your plan covers out-of-network massage therapy sessions.

Cancellations/no shows/late policies
Appointments must be canceled at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made after the 48 hour window will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the full session price, though exceptions may be made for illnesses and emergencies on a case-by-case basis.

No-shows will be charged the full session price, and booking privileges will be revoked.

If you arrive late to your appointment, your session will end at the scheduled time to ensure smooth scheduling for all clients.
